While training with Power Block, Chris maintained his bodyweight of 170 lbs but had a massive body recomposition to less fat and more muscle, achieved remarkable physical and cosmetic changes, as well as had incredible benefits to his strength and mental health.

In strength, Chris has achieved incredible milestones and continues to improve:

  • Bench press increased by 25lbs to 225lbs
  • Front Squat 60 lbs PR to 285 lbs.
  • Sumo Deadlift increased from 315 lbs to 385 lbs
  • 40 lbs PR in the Power Clean to 225 lbs
  • 25 lbs PR in the Shoulder Press to 160 lbs

All within 4 months of training (about 30 sessions or 30 hours of work) despite many of these PRs being set on his very first attempt at a 1RM or lifting even remotely close to those loads for these movements in many years. He is already 50 lbs above bodyweight in his Clean.

The photos below show his transformation over 4 months. The first photo is from January 2022 about 2 weeks before he started PowerBlock with me. It had been 4 years of #detraining for Chris without a regular program, although he was still fairly active with climbing as a hobby. The second photo is from March 2022, so only 15 workouts in, not even 2 full months into the program (we started Feb. 3rd.) and he’s made only minimal changes to his lifestyle. I give lots of recommendations and advice but the only hard and fast dietary requirement for getting results training with me is an adequate protein and caloric intake. The last photo is from May 2022.
